White Board Videos

PHACS uses whiteboard videos to communicate on a range of topics with caregivers and young adult participants, including the connection between study participation and PHACS’ published results.

The PHACS HECC worked with Booster Shot Media to create four innovative whiteboard videos to supplement the process of informed consent for participants enrolling in our young adult studies. Young adults, caregivers, and study coordinators chose the topics, and the resulting videos are available to support young adults in making informed decisions about whether to enroll in a PHACS protocol.

"The Blood Droplet's Humble Beginnings to Global Fame"

In discussions with study participants, we learned that many caregivers were not aware of why their children were being asked to provide blood samples for the study. We wanted to create a video that would show caregivers exactly how their samples are used from the time they provide them to the time when an article is published in a journal.

"The Blood Droplet's Humble Beginnings to Global Fame" is a whiteboard video that connects caregivers with key findings of the study, which were only made possible because others like them chose to provide blood samples.
